MtA Scrap Kits - TOU Change

There has been a change in the TOU for scrap kits at MtA and you can now use the kits with any artist as long as there is not a conflict with the artist or the company that represents them.

The following is Mistaken Art's Basic Scrap Kit Terms of Use. These terms apply to all graphic hobbyists being signature tag makers, stationary and web set makers, website designers and MySpace or other social network users. You are required to read, understand and abide by these terms. You are advised that these terms are strictly enforced at all times by MTA and our Attorneys.


The Scrap Kit Designers represented by MTA reserve the right to amend any of these terms they so choose. You will be updated of Changed TOU via the artist group. Please check the group files for Individual TOU information.

When you use your scrapkits alone to make a tag, stat, etc. , please credit the artist. You will be able to use the license number you were given for your tubes to mark your tags, stats, etc made with your kits from MTA. you can credit them on stats and tags by adding something like this:

Scrap Kit / Elements "designers name here"

- only add copyright © when its NOT mixed with another artist, and used with other art that doesn't require credit.

If you use MTAs scrap kits with any other licensed art, that requires a number outside of MTA, please credit as follows.

Scraps by " scrap artist name here " - MtA Scrap Artist

This credit is sufficient on footers, and tags alike.




Basics:


1. You MAY resize, re-color, add or subtract from the elements to suit your personal project needs.

2. You MAY create tutorials using MTA scrap kits however you MUST very clearly state on the tutorial page that the scrap kit you are using is for example only. Anyone wishing to use the same kit in their own personal creation MUST purchase the kit from MTA.

3. You MAY use MTA Scrap Kits to create tags, MySpace or Website layouts, stationary and or any other personal digital projects that are applicable. You must also then, put a link to the artist, and your license number. If you do contact boxes, you need the © and license number b/c they can be snagged.

4. You MAY NOT use MTA scrap kits or any elements contained within them for any commercial endeavors, barter or used for profit in any way when you join a Personal use group. The only images available for commercial use, are found in our commercial use section on our site. Please do not mix your commercial and personal use license.

5. You MAY NOT print MTA scrap kits.

6. You MAY NOT share MTA scrap kits or any elements contained within these scrap kits in anyway be it via email, disk, file sharing site or any other known methods of file sharing. no exceptions.

7. You MAY NOT make your own templates, presets, shapes, brushes etc. from the elements contained within MTA scrap kits. That means the shadowed images as well.

8. You MAY use MTA scrap kits with MTA or FTU artists images, tubes or photography you wish as long as it does not conflict with the terms of use as designated by the source of the art or photography you are using in addition to the scrap kit.
